Hello! My name is Barbara S. Medrano and I am looking forward to a fabulous school year! This is my second year teaching 4th grade here at Otto Petersen Elementary and my ninth year teaching overall. I recently moved here from Brownsville, TX where I previously worked as Life Skills Special Education teacher for several years. I have been married to my wonderful husband for 19 years and have two beautiful children. I've been fortunate to live in states like Texas, Arizona and California but it is Oregon that I now call home. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, playing with my dogs Lucy and Logan, watching movies, listening to new records, and attending as many concerts as I can.... but most importantly I choose to live in joy!!
